ENGAGE fellows Bhavna Prasad and Luis Chacon had the opportunity to participate in ‘Science in Wonderful, 2024‘ fair by the European Commission in Brussels on 25th and 26th of April. Through our booth ‘Nuclear Disco‘, we tried explaining the quark structure of neutrons and protons. We had both pre-made and DIY models for kids, filled with spring attached, coloured balls, for explaining the quark constitution of nucleons. Torches of colours red, blue, and green were used to explain colour neutrality. And a video tied together everything we explained. Over the two days of the event, many primary, and secondary school kids from Belgium and outside visited our booth and we really enjoyed explaining what we do.
